"they're comeing up to the house now, boss." calls the two-way radio hanging by the belt of a cloaked figure
"...yes..." he coughs once, wiping his mouth "...i see them..."
"orders sir?"
"stand by... i wont be long..."
an evening out of a fairy tale, rowena returns home in the company of azazel. after exchanging their feelings from thier date turned crimescene, and their feelings toward each other, azazel leaves rowena to her quaint little home. rowena, whose mind is racing with countless thoughts, throughs open the door, and proceeds to enter her home.
...too lost in her daydream and exhausted from the days activities, she was nearly unaware of the emptiness of the house.
as she proceeds through her hallways, she slowly becomes aware of the utter lack of life stiring through her normally busy home. perhaps thier asleep she thought, but if that were the case, surely snores could be heard. each step she took seemed to echo far more than usual, and for every creak her floor made, a second seemed to follow behind her, yet despite her best efforts, she could not find anyone else there.
as she scurried to her room, she makes a rather shocking discovery; her window was completely shattered. the glass was lieing all over the floor, implying that someone had broken IN to the house. she surveyed her surroundings briefly before bolting frantically out of the room. her natrual instict was to call out for her family, but second guessed the notion. if there was someone else in her home, her yelling would only alert them. on the other hand, with the noise she already made, surely they must know of her presence already. this lead to another thought... that perhaps the WAS someone following her.
she decided to call out after all. no response. she tryied again, this time while running through the house. where to go she wondered, bedroom? kitchen? perhaps out of the house? leaving seemed most logical, she could call for help, even call for azazel, he couldnt have gone that far! but if she leaves, what of her family? no, she doesnt even know if thier even IN the house. leaving was her only option.
she proceeded to head for the door but is stopped. not by a person, but by a sound. it sounded like a yell. but from where? behind her.
she heard it again and again. it was coming from the living area. she abandoned her original goal of the front door and headed to the living room instantly. it wasd there she was met with a gruesome sight. 3 masked thugs, all staring at her. she was going to scream, but opted against it, as her attention was drawn toward the cloaked figure in the middle. she recognized him, the one from the resturant.
"...good evening" the hooded figure stated coldly, coughing a few times upon completing his statement. "...lovely home you have"
he chuckled a moment, and like parrots, his crew did the same.
panic was washing over rowena's face, where was her family she wondered, and what on earth does HE want? what is he doing here? how did he know where i live!?
"no need to worry my dear..." the cloaked figure smirked "...im not going to hurt you"
rowena wanted to ask her questions, but was cut off before she had the chance.
as if he read her mind he replied; "...allow me to open, your family is safe. off to the police station...they were told you were arrested...they sould be home any minute.... *cough*..."
the cloaked figure edged closer, causing rowena to twitch.
"...yes...any minute... so ill make this quick...."the masked figure spit "...a warning my dear, your...only warning..."
he neared closer "stay away from azazel...he's not worth it..."
she was going to ask what he meant by that when she heard the front door jiggle.
"rowena? you here??" he family had returned
when she turned back around the three had disappeared. fear washed over her as more questions began to emerge. who is he, and what does he want?
"roweeena! are you home sweety?"
questions for another day she agreed. questions she would have to ask someone who knew what was going on.
"roweena!"
"im here" rowena called out. she wondered if she would tell her mother what had happened, or to keep it to her self...
