"Well here we are guys." She looks at the two petz expectantly. "What would you like to get first? Collars or beds and paint?" She thinks for a minute. "We should probably get collars first to keep you safe. Is that okay?"

Newlndnfire leads them to a store specifically for collars and leashes. "Well you both can pick out whatever collar and leash you like." I'll just wait here.
Vixen walks farther into the store with Bb still on his back. He leads her over the the smallest of the cat collars. "Which do you like Bb? Show me so I can get it down for you to try on."

Bb points with one small paw to a collar all the way on top of the highest rack. It is a pastel pink with little embroidered flowers of varying colors. "That one looks amazing," Bb's eyes twinkle at the thought of having something so beautiful to call her own!

Vixen pulls the collar down and slips it onto Bb. "Perfect fit." He smiles. "Do you want to go show Newlndnfire while I find my own collar?" He hands her the matching leash while he talks.

"Thank you so much!" Bb stares at herself in the mirror, mesmerized by the beauty and delicacy of her new collar. "Sure, I'll go show Newlndnfire while you grab yours." Bb saunters off, so content that she has something of her own that she can be proud to say is hers. She comes back to Newlndnfire and paws her leg gently asking to please be picked up. When Newlndnfire obliged, Bb rubs her head into Newlndnfire's cheek. Sometimes there isn't a need to say words when you are filled with gratitude. Bb is so filled with gratefulness that it could be felt from ten miles away.

Newlndnfire smiles down at the small kitten, understanding her wordless happiness. "How about we go find Vixen, then we can buy you those pretty things." She carry's the small kitten over to Vixen looking at him. "Are those the ones you want?" She questions.
He looks down at his dark green collar and leash that he holds in his paws. "Yes, I think so. They suit me." He smiles.
"Alright guys come on." She pays for the items and they continue through the mall.
Once all the things they need are bought Newlndnfire speaks. "Well we have everything we NEEDED." She smiles. "But I'm going to let you both pick one thing that you'd like to keep as your own. It can be clothes or food or a toy. Whatever catches your eye. Lead the way, we can visit as many stores as you like until you find what you want... or the mall closes." She laughs and smiles down.
"Well Bb is there anything you have in mind?" Vixen questions the small kitten.

Bb looks at Newlndnfire with grateful eyes. Bb smiles and turns to Vixen, "I don't know...I...I've never played with toys...and I never wore any clothes...I...I'll get whatever you'd like Vixen," Bb smiles, "I trust your and Newlndnfire's opinions best!"

"Oh no dear, I ment you and Vixen could each get your own thing, so one each." She smiles. "How about I take you to the toy store Bb? Vixen, do you want to go pick something out yourself? I'll give you some money."
Vixen looks uncertainly at Bb "Will you be okay if I leave you with Newlndnfire?" He whispers.

Bb looks back and forth from Vixen and Newlndnfire, "I think so...you seem to really trust her, and she seems so nice...I'll be okay..." Bb's voice quivered a bit as she fears ol' Merp running in and swooping her up again. She dismisses the thought by shaking her head quickly and violently. After a moment of looking at the ground in what seemed like deep thought, she whispers back adding to her last statement, "I'll be okay Vixen." She seals this statement with a smile. Bb looks up at Newlndndfire, "I'd love to go to the toy store with you!"

Newlndnfire reaches down and picks up the small kitten holding her to her chest gently. "We'll meet you back here in a half hour Vixen." She smiles down at him.
"Alright." He watches her carry Bb away and can't help but feel a bit worried. He shakes his head and walks around the mall. Soon something catches his eye. It's a simple cupcake but he'd like to buy it for Bb. It's pink, what he assumes is her favorite colour. He smiles and looks at the shop keep asking to purchase the treat in a to go box so it doesn't get smashed up. He looks at the clock and realizes he's been walking around for about 50 minutes and starts to head back to where he's meeting the two girls.
Meanwhile
Newlndnfire carries Bb into a toy store. It's huge with SO many toys to chose from. "What kind of toy do you think you want?" She begins to walk around the store. "Tell me if something catches your eye okay?" She smiles at the small kitten. Walking slowly so she can see all the toys they pass and contemplate each one.

"Well, well, well..." Bb snaps her head around hearing an all too familiar voice. She starts shaking in her skin in Newlndnfire's arms as Merp walks up behind Newlndnfire. "Excuse me miss," Merp coughs a bit and directs his voice at Newlndnfire, "I, uh, believe you've found my kitten..."

Newlndnfire looks down at the seemingly sick cat below her. She crouches down still holding Bb tight to her chest. "Well hello there little guy." She recognizes Bb's uncomfortable stance and stands up tall. "Do you want to go with this man?" She whispers to the small kitten. "If you don't want to you can still stay with me."

Bb's eyes well up with tears, she can't even get out full sentences she is so shaken up. All Newlndnfire can hear somewhat clearly is "N...n...no...n...n...n...n...n...n..n...NO!"

"Alright sweetie, don't worry. You don't have to go with him I promise." She holds the small kitten a bit tighter and shifts her farther away from Merp. She crouches back down to address Merp. "Well, it seems that this is NOT your kitten after all sir. I'm sorry you must be mistaken." She smiles at him but anyone could see the warning within her eyes. "You do sound quite sick though. Would you like me to take to to the vet so you can get some help?" She looks at Bb and gives a little squeeze. She can't help but offer help to the sick animal even if he does seem to be rather mean, especially with Bb's reaction.
