Well, first off, thank you for letting me do this reading. I am thinking that maybe this reading was so confusing was because, like you said, you are quite confused yourself. That is not an insult in any way, shape or form, you are just as you stated (and I can gather from what you told me just now), very confused. A funny thing about the cards is they fuel themselves with energy when doing a reading, which comes from both the reader and the querent (which would be the person getting the cards read for them; ie. you in this situation). Before I do a reading for someone else I always relax and make sure that I do not have any of my own lingering energy flowing through me, as that would interfere with the reading.
So, when I am reading for someone else, I purely put focus on the question or statement the querent made when initially asking or showing interest in a reading being done. This could prove to be difficult at times when the querent is not physically near the reader, as this requires the reader to (at least in my case) pull feelings and energy from the querent from what I call the 'Universal Subconscious' which is a term that I could further explain to you through private message if you would like, as it would take up a lot of this thread. It is by no means impossible to do (obviously, or successful readings of people when they are not present would never be done), however, it can be very tiring, at least for me. When I say tiring, I do not mean in a negative way, I simply mean what it literally is...I get physically and mentally tired. lol It sounds funny, but I just speak from what I have noted about myself and my readings.
The whole reading I did for you was chock full of confusion, even when I was pulling the cards, which was odd to me, it was almost as if some sort of energy was blocked or I wasn't able to fully grasp what I needed exactly to 'push' into the cards. I believe this was a direct derivative of the uncertainty felt in your decisions. I would not have a problem working further with you, however, in fact, I would enjoy it. I would love to teach you anything I know, the very idea that you are interested makes me unbelievably happy! I would love to have some buddies to share my readings with as well as other spiritual works if you were interested now or even down the road!
I see why the Five of Wands portrayed direct confusion, as your thoughts as to the direction you want to go has been and still somewhat is muddled. The Ace of Swords to me shows a triumph, but not without the turmoil of all of your changing thoughts and outside forces (ie. your family) who made it hard for you to reach that 'triumph', although in the end, it was not really a triumph, as your heart did not stay with that decision. Then when the Queen of Pentacles came along in the reversed position, it is clear to see that the idea of going down one road (whether it be doctor or professor or lawyer) is not concrete, therefore, because of all of the confusion, you are thinking (or wishing?) you can just let these thoughts just leave you and start anew and only with what you want to do from the start this time. Well, that at least is a mini clarification that I saw after hearing more to the story.
See, when I read the Tarot cards, I don't so much look into the future as I read into what we already know as conscious human beings. We know the answers to our questions, however, being a conscious human being will blur those answers to the point where we become confused. It is when we can tap into our subconscious that we will begin to see things more clearly. Tarot is an old faithful friend of mine for doing just that. Tarot is used a lot by me as a psychological tool in many cases, and others of course are divinatory in nature. It all depends on the individual situation. Again, like I stated before though, I am more than willing to speak with you through PM about any questions you may have at all!
Now for your specific questions you asked!
So are the cards just on the individual person?
For this question, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Do you mean when a reading is done are the cards focused only on the querent? If you wouldn't mind clarifying that for me, I'd love to answer for you! ^__^
Can a person ask about someone else at all? Be that alive or dead?
Yes and yes. You can ask the Tarot cards about anyone or anything, as this relates back to the Universal Subconscious I mentioned earlier. Then there is extra criteria that gets involved when communing with spirits who have passed on from this plane. I would be willing to discuss this more through PM, I would be very happy to!
Can 'spirits' or whatever you chose to call them 'speak' through the cards at all?
Yes, although the answer to this question will vary from person to person that you speak to (people who read Tarot cards that is). Is it always safe? No. I mean that with all sincerity too. I, however, would be more than willing and happy to discuss this further as well through PM.
Don't ever worry about being insulting lovely! You're not at all, and you are purely curious (and willing to learn which enthralls me)! I would be honored to teach you about the things I know and have experienced on my journey thus far. Just PM me, and ask away. <3 Thank you again for being interested and having such an open mind to these subject matters, it makes me truly smile to know that there are people out there who are willing to learn. I found much comfort in my practices in the past few years, and managed to overcome some of the hardest battles of my life with them. When you have an open mind, you really never know what treasures will come your way and often...fall right into your lap.
