This is a continuation of this.Vixen wanders up to the door of Trinkets and Tonks. Now I wonder where that silly furnace thing is. He nudges the door with his nose and it creaks open..... |

There is a loud bang followed by a few obscenities in the back of the building. Merp walks out to the front, disheveled. "Hello?" Merp calls out to Vixen. Before Merp's face is even fully visible from the dank backroom of the shop, he exclaims cunningly, "Ah, Vixen, is that you?" Merp gives a congested cough of a laugh. "I was expecting you..." Merp gives a sinister teeth bearing grin, revealing razor blade bones protruding from his diseased gums.

Uhh how in the heck does this guy know my name.... "Well hello there. Umm you obviously know my name. What would yours be? Also do you happen to have a furnace somewhere in here that I can take? Please?" He trails off nervously and shifts from side to side just wanting to leave the store and never come back.

Merp laughs, coughing a bit into his shoulder. He mocks Vixen, "How do you know my name?" Merp waves his paw dismissively at Vixen and coughs some more, it sounds as if this guy really has some medical issues. "I'm Merp, the owner of Trinkits and Tronkits...you want...a furnace?" Merp darts his eyes from right to left, "Sorry my good sir, we don't carry those here...maybe you'd like to go to the home improvement store in the city over!" Merp laughs maniacally at his own shallow attempt at a joke, sounding like he is going to hack up a lung all the while.

Ugg who is this crazy cat!? Vixen gets frustrated at the strange cat as he just wants to help someone out. "Listen here, I found some cat and he keeps shivering. He said he needs some kind of furnace from THIS store. Now I won't tell you where this kitten is since he seemed to be hiding from something but PLEASE tell me how to help him. He was fairly pitiful." He looks at him less nervous now in his frustration.

"Ahhhhhhh..." Merp hisses through his teeth. "Why didn't you say so...? I was unaware you knew someone who wanted something from here..." Merp hacks a bit, coughing up some phlegm, "Not many petz send lackey boys to do their work. Tell me, Vixen..." he puts an emphasis on the "V" in Vixen's name, "...how much are you willing to give me for this item you seek?"

He's a bit startled. Well at least he's finally admitting he HAS something to give. "Well, I guess that depends on what you want. I really don't have much to give. I'm a stray so I don't have much of anything really." He sighs. His lack of money always gets in the way of things.

"No money I see, a drifter you are!" Merp is silent for a moment and makes a proposal in a sticky sweet tone, "Hey, Vixen, I'll tell you what, I'll give you a Furnace Orb if you let me try a little experiment on you..." Merp adds hastily and mockingly, "I promise it won't huuurrtt." Too, too much.

Vixen sighs, he'd rather be hurt than let that little kitten suffer. "Okay, I guess I'll agree. I really want to help that kitten." He shudders a bit in fear. "Just tell me what you'd like me to do."

Merp smiles a devilish, gnarly tooth bearing grin. "I just have a little tablet I would like to take..." Merp fishes around in his old beaten trousers and pulls out a green tablet, about the size of a pea. "Here, just swallow this...sorry, I don't have any water...it's small enough..."

Vixen sighs and take the pill. He quickly swallows it. "Ack, that was disgusting! What WAS that?" He begins to get concerned for his health a bit.

Vixen gives a scream.... a manly scream. (Sure vixen, sure  ) "how long is this thing going to stay up there!?" He grabs the orb before Merp can take it as he worry's since he complained he may take it away. |

"Well thanks I guess. Hey Merp? You're not the bad guy everyone thinks you are, are you?" He doesn't wait for an answer and leaves out of the door. Maybe I'll go back on day to see him again. I really don't think he's all that bad.
